Kaybeth Calabria, Ph.D. in Education at the University of Pittsburgh, is currently the Director for the Advancement in Teaching Excellence at Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH. Her elective areas of expertise address youth and adults with severe disabilities and Social and Cognitive Psychology. As professor and researcher, she has particularly contributed to enrich intervention specialist formation and effectiveness (from planning field experiences to developing updated academic programs and practices) toward Special Education and pertinent needs. She has been consultant and advisor for several associations and initiatives dealing with learning disabilities and bias in U.S. and foreign countries (e.g., Chiron Education Society, Franciscan University project "Works of Mercy").
